    About the Author:
Señora Saydi is a Peruvian tour guide with over 30 years experience hosting and guiding tours around Peru, with a particular focus on Machupicchu and the city of Cusco. Born in a small town 3,600 meters above sea level, she grew up speaking Quechua, appreciating nature and customs of native Peruvians around her. The Andes are her ancestral home and so she understands the country from stories passed-down the generations since pre-colonial times, and makes these accessible in the context of the modern world, in a country which is renowned as an international tourist destination.
