The company later intends to market the somewhat more affordable all-electric luxury sedan called the Model S. In addition to making its own line of electric vehicles, Tesla also supplies batteries to major auto companies for use in their electric and hybrid cars. For the moment, the sale of these batteries is Tesla Motors' main source of income. Musk has said that he intends Tesla to become a fully independent auto manufacturer that specializes in zero emissions all electric vehicles. His goal is to make a major difference in the world's consumption of oil. Unfortunately, Gates parents wanted him to finish his schooling first. After all, they had still hoped to make a lawyer out of their son. Gates finished high school in 1973, and went on to Harvard in the fall of that same year. At the time, he had every intention of pursuing a law degree. Of course Gates accomplishments need not be limited to accolades and achievements. It would be grossly negligent to downplay Gates role in changing the way people thought of computers. In a very real sense, Gates helped usher in the era of the personal computer, and was at the vanguard of the computer boom of the 1980s. Prior to this computers were generally seen bulky and impractical machines. Gates was among those who recognized its potential as a practical device for the home. = = = = = EXCERPT FROM WARREN BUFFETT'S BIO Buffett was born on August 30, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska to Howard and Lelia Buffett. He was the couple’s middle child and only son. Howard Buffett was the son of grocery store owners, but after he was unable to get a job in the family business, he started his own brokerage firm. While Howard ran his investment business he also served on the Omaha Board of Education for four years and then ran for the US House of Representatives. He was elected and relocated the family to Washington, DC. There, Warren attended public schools and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High in 1947, five years later. Shaw in New York City, a global investment and technology development firm, where he rose to senior vice president. One spring day in 1994, Bezos noticed that Internet usage was growing by 2,300 percent a year. He quickly determined that there was a market for selling books online. With his wifes full support, Bezos quit his job and went to Seattle to follow his dream of starting a company that sells books online. His decision to follow his dream at the risk of a stable life was made according to what he calls regret minimization framework, in which he thought about the number of regrets he would have at age eighty. I knew that if I failed I wouldn't regret that, but I knew the one thing I might regret is not ever having tried.
