Getting research experience and publications is an important part of college/university but can be overwhelming. Knowing where to start, building the right strategy to achieve this and following through by publishing your work are essential steps.My name is Robin and I am a UK based junior doctor in Cambridge passionate about research and teaching. Throughout university I was actively involved in publishing papers which have been cited 100s of times. I am keen to offer the insight I've gained along the way to help others get involved in research and find success.This course covers essential topics to get started in research including how to find the right research topic for you, identifying and approaching a suitable supervisor and defining your role in the project. We also go through other crucial steps which are often difficult to navigate such as negotiating authorship, offering your skills to others, shortcuts to publishing and finding success through multiple streams of research.
