    Armand Robin (1912-1961) a passé une grande partie de sa vie à l'écoute des radios étrangères, et notamment des services de propagande soviétiques. Il a rendu compte de ses écoutes dans un bulletin bihebdomadaire réservé à un petit nombre d'abonnés, journaux, institutions et organismes dont la liste est, aujourd'hui encore, bien difficile à établir.
    La fausse parole est le journal d'un journal, la chronique de cette activité poursuivie jusqu'à l'épuisement, parallèlement à cette activité poétique non moins déroutante que Robin appelait non-traduction.
    Propagandes en tous genres, mécanique du mensonge, guerre psychologique sont implacablement dénoncées. Dénoncées par un poète qui sait ce que parler veut dire et qui réinvente, dans une langue connue de lui seul, le vrai usage de la parole : la présentation de ce texte, paru aux éditions de Minuit en 1953, est toujours actuelle.
