Gas Burners for Forges, Furnaces, and Kilns (Repost)

Gas Burners for Forges, Furnaces, and Kilns By Michael Porter
2004 | 193 Pages | ISBN: 1879535203 | DJVU | 6 MB

This is a MAKER'S book. This is not an art book or a coffee table book. Doubling the size and adding beautiful photos would make it nicer to look at, and let it read in a more linear manner. Maybe in a later edition. For now, though, this is as good as it gets. Mike Porter has put together the info you need to build very efficient burners that will save fuel and give you all the heat you need for forging, foundry or glass work. For years, blacksmiths Ron Reil, Jerry Frost, Mike Porter and many others experimented and researched the best burners around, and Mike has distilled all of that work and lots more into this book. It's a dense read, there's a lot of stuff to remember here. Read the whole book through before you start building. In many places I might use a different technique to make a part, just because I have the tools needed, but they will all work if built just this way. Over the years I've built lots of forges and burners from the info on the web, or older books. None have worked as well as the burners you'll learn to make here. Buy this book!
