Roots of Wisdom asserts that philosophy is a worldwide enterprise, not just the province of ancient Greeks and their intellectual heirs in Europe and North America. This is not a universally accepted proposition and that means that I face special challenges when I introduce thinkers and thought systems not traditionally included in philosophy texts.
