    The Stairway is the steps leading from a Chruch of England background, through the Quakers, then Vedanta and on to the system of Grudjieff. This lead to studies with J.G.Bennett over 7 years and finally the arrivla of Subud in the Western world in 1957 and the arrival of Pak Subuh and his Helpers from Indonesia.
