    This work aims to gain a long term better understanding on how human cultures are interacting with climate change. It is an analysis of the past and present of religions and deals particularly with spiritual and cultural relations regarding environment and climate. The literature on dating processes for the emergence of human myths and ritual practices distinguishes among myths and tales those that accompanied the development of productive economy and those that are related to periods when the climate was very unstable. Thus, we are experiencing nowadays the conflict between short-term political and religious views and shared global objectives which are expressed in relation to a climate history.
