Vaughn Heppner "Alien Honor (A Fenris Novel Book 1)"
    47North | English | November 26, 2013 | ISBN: 1477808825 | 292 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 3,17 mb

Vaughn Heppner seems to be able to just crank out books and I rarely am able to find fault with his work. Case in point Alien Honor. The story here picks up after his five books of the Doom Star series. Cryus is a low level telepath living in the lowest levels of Milan. Cities in the future go miles into the ground and only the privileged get to get outside. Earth and the Sol system are searching for telepaths and Jasper happens to be a telepath who can find other telepaths. (think Professor X from the X-Men). The Sol system is overcrowded and there is a ship going out to explore another solar system. The ships are powered by telepaths which allow the ship to jump faster than light speed. Obviously, there are aliens, trouble and more trouble. The kind that only a guy like Cyrus can fix.

If you haven't read the previous books, it doesn't hurt you too badly but a new reader won't know some of the finer details. I just happened to enjoy those finer details however. This book is just the beginning of a series however. The book stands on its own but it really remains to be seen where the rest of the series is going. Overall, the pacing of the book was good and I didn't find my interest wavering. I'm curious to see what happens next.
