How To Develop Embedded Software: A Case Study (Embedded Software Skills)

This case study shows processes, tools, and methods used by embedded system developers. The book's content is derived from the author's 35 years experience developing embedded systems for major corporations. The example project is a digital trombone implemented on an mbed and Arduino compatible NUCLEO-L432KC board from STMicroelectronics.

System requirements and architecture, are documented, which divides the system into hardware and virtual software objects, and shows with the ways in which they interact.

A software module design methodology is demonstrated, which documents the software modules to be coded, and the manner of their interaction with the hardware and each other, along with suggestions for their verification.
