The Art of Wheelbuilding: A Bench Reference for Neophytes, Pros & Wheelaholics (repost)

Despite being almost 10 years old, this book is far from out-dated.
Review:
Maybe some used rims might seem a little "old" but this can be transferred to todays materials without an problems

This book covers a pretty wide range of tips and tricks for the absolute beginner to the pretty advanced ones.
Nice to see, that this book starts at the very basics.
- What's the difference between hand-laced and machine-built wheels
- Basics about the materials
- What causes spoke failure
- How to lace a wheel
This book describes "Schraner's way of lacing". This might seem pretty awkward to those, that used the "classic way" but admittedly it's quite foolproof and pretty fast either.
This book isn't only for the beginner, even more advanced topics are covered.
- What type of components will suit your riding style
- Number of spokes
- Spoke patterns
- Which tools are needed
Even some more exotic topics are covered and Schraner gives his opinion about it:
- Twisted spoking
- Tying and soldering spokes
- "Exotic" spoking pattens (radial and "Crows Foot")
All that's written in pretty understandable words, even for the beginner I suppose.
Pretty much the perfect read for those, that wanted to start building their own wheels, or those, wit a little more experience, but who want to do do it perfectly and to think about virtually everything.
