Having read other Paul Adam books, I expected an intellingent page-turning rollercoaster of a thriller - I wasn't disappointed. Knowing that the research behind Adam's books is spot on- so the level of surveillance technology used by the powers that be in 'Enemy Within' must be in existence- makes this 'big-brother' scenario all the more chilling. The main character is something of an everyman, with a naivity about every-day technology most of us probably share. An innocent forced to turn fugitive, his life is turned upside-down as he tries to get to the bottom of what's happended to him whilst desparately staying one step ahead of the violent villains of the story. You turn the pages with your heart in your mouth, starkly aware of how vulnerable we all are in this modern age of technology - I didn't use my mobile for weeks after reading it!! More please…
