This book has become the thread that holds together the contents of all the other material I have obtained in my endeavor to start my own business. It is not burdened with trade jargon, but rather it explains it. I also like the fact that the author is readily accessible and has not gone into obscurity–instead, he keeps abreast of the latest trends. Although the book doesn't offer advice that is outdated, this accesibility gives me great comfort.

I am a one-woman small consulting business in Seattle. I have used Steve's book on many occasions to gain some perspective as a sole proprietor. It contains excellent ideas and gave me the "kick in the pants" I needed to ask for a raise. Months passed and now I am looking to become an LLC and again, back to Steve's Bible! It had a well written, clear description on what it is, what I need to do and where I go for additional resources in order to make the transition.
Many other websites were confusing, muddled and made my head spin. Steve writes in a way that is understandable, and DO-able. Thanks Steve for an excellent resource - I highly recommend this book to those who run small businesses.
