Roberto Bonati composes and paints a suite dedicated to the night, its magic, its more hidden colors and its deep emotionality. A journey through the dreams, encounters, ghosts, shadows and lights of a dream vision. A nocturnal picture that leads step by step towards the dawn. A painting, but also a meditation on the most noisy moment of our thoughts and emotions: while outside the silence resounds.
With this work Roberto Bonati presents a new trio, born in the sign of an artistic continuity, with two special musicians from a younger generation. New compositions of the leader who find, in this trio, a particular sound, a chamber music, evocative sound, between melody and experimentation, in a synthesis of multiple traditions and languages from jazz to folk to contemporary. A deep lyricism, which looks at the sky with the taste of earth, combined with the sense of improvised adventure.
