    The Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra (abbreviated as BSO), in 1930-1952 - the Orchestra of the All-Union Radio Committee (abbreviated as the VRK Orchestra), in 1953-1973 the Symphony Orchestra of the All-Union Radio (since 1966 the Great Symphony Orchestra, BSO VR), in 1974-1978 the BSO of the All-Union Radio and Television, in 1979-1991 — the Great Symphony Orchestra of Central Television and the All-Union radio (BSO CT and BP), the modern name (BSO named after P. I. Tchaikovsky) since 1993 — the Russian State Symphony Orchestra.
