Slap Back Joe is a blues band that played blues and rock covers in various pubs and festivals in 2017-2020. When the pandemic broke out, the band decided to play their own music. The debut album "System Breakdown" was released in June 2021 and received great reviews, including from Sweden Rock Magazine, which gave the album a 7/10. Over the years, the band has also served as a backing band for artist Ninna Westerholm Karlsson, which led to Ninna joining as lead singer in 2022. In the fall of 2023, the work and recordings for the follow-up "Singing My Blues Away" began, which was released on March 15, 2023 via the Swedish indie label Killander Music Records. band members

Raimo Rommedahl songwriter, producer, guitarist, singer and the bandleader of Slap back Joe. Ninna Westerholm Karlsson is a rock and blues singer with both a rough and lovely voice. From the very first listen, I knew that I wanted to work with this band. I just love their sound, their lyrics and the way they arrange their songs. The biggest challenge for me when mastering the album was to keep the volume at a reasonable level in the studio. I just couldn't resist getting infected by the energetic vibe of the album (which caused me to turn up the volume all the time). Listening to the album is like going to a concert - fantastic!
