    The Salzburg Wind Philharmonic with its principal conductor Hansjörg Angerer conquers highest musical peaks following the motto “From the mountains” and makes the romanticism of the countryside, hunting cries as well as Alpine storms become a unique sound experience.
    Moods in nature, their intoxicating and imposing beauty are presented musically in impressive works. The ‘Alpine’ Symphony by Richard Strauss forms the climax of this recording as a powerful description of hiking up and down a mountain throughout which nature is magnificently portrayed in music. The imposing sound painting can be heard for the first time in this special version for symphonic wind ensemble.
