Guitarist from São Paulo, born 29 years ago in the city of itanhaém (SP) and living in London for almost a decade, Plínio Fernandes is already recognized in the world of classical music as a Brazilian virtuoso of the classical guitar.

It is with such status and prestige that, ten years after being selected in 2013 to enter the Royal Academy of Music, a prestigious institution in the capital of England, Fernandes announces the second album, Bacheando. The successor to the album Saudade (2022) is scheduled for release on September 22 on the Decca Gold Label.

As the title Bacheando already signals, the guitarist travels in the album through the universe of the composer Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 -1750). But, in Bacheando, Fernandes harmonizes works by the German genius with themes by Brazilian composers such as Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887 – 1959), Mário Albanese (whose guitarist plays Jequi-Bach), Paulinho Nogueira (1927 – 2003) and Sérgio Assad.

Guitarist of Duo Assad, Sérgio has presented in bacheando original work composed in three movements, Prelude, Fugue and Vivace, Brazilian response of paulista Assad to the theme Prelude, Fugue and Allegro in e-flat major, BWV 998, Bach.
