The Bossarenova Trio stands for an elegant as well as brilliant mix of exquisite jazz ingredients and the finest Brazilian rhythms. Ironically, in the New York S.O.B.s gave the Brazilian-German threesome in 2011 his sensational live debut. Since then, singer Paula Morelenbaum, trumpeter Joo Kraus and pianist Ralf Schmid have conquered the rest of the world with their sensual, close-to-life music. Paula Morelenbaum became on the side of Antonio Carlos Jobim a worldwide acknowledged bossa nova-capacity. Her two partners Joo Kraus and Ralf Schmid are among the most experimental and creative minds of German jazz. On albums such as the latest stroke of genius "Atlântico", the "Bossarenova Trio" succeeds in creating a harmonious melange that works without any emphasis on the zeitgeist or classical forms. The current recordings are no less than a bridge between cultures, between European songs and the musical language of the South American continent.
