A gospel vibe runs through the whole record, which is strongly influenced by the background vocals. In my arrangements I tried to put the band collective in the center. Instead of instrumental solo performances, I wanted to explore what is possible with an excellent live band. The band plays with tempo, dynamics and mood that it is a joy.
As a producer, I wanted to make a statement – all tricks and gimmicks were deliberately omitted. We lined up in a circle and recorded the record live on an 8-track tape recorder in two days.
