Nati Mistral (Natividad Macho Álvarez, * December 13, 1928 in Madrid; † August 20, 2017 ibid) was a Spanish singer and actress.

At the age of twelve, Nati Mistral won a music competition from Radio Madrid, in which she had participated without the knowledge of her parents. She then attended the conservatory and played small roles in classical plays such as Antígona and Don Gil de las calzes verde at the Teatro Español de la Plaza de Santa Ana under the direction of Cayetano Luca de Tena. Together with Tony Leblanc, she became a member of the musical group of Lola Flores and Manolo Caracol in 1944. In 1945, she took the stage name Nati Mistral on the occasion of the Nobel Prize ceremony for Gabriela Mistral. She had her first great success as a singer with the song Dos Cruzes.

Her career as a film actress began in 1947 with films such as La muralla feliz, Oro y marfil and La nao Capitana. In a literary adaptation based on Stendhal, which was released in German cinemas in 1953 under the title Die Liebenden von Toledo, she played the role of a gypsy. She undertook her first tour of Europe with the Los Vieneses theatre group. in 1957 Luis Escobar Kirkpatrick wrote for her the revue Te espero en Eslava, which brought her final breakthrough as a singer. Two years later she appeared as Mari Gaila alongside Milagros Leal and Manuel Dicenta and under the direction of José Tamayo in Ramón María del Valle-Inclán's Divinas palabras.

This was followed by roles in La perríchola by Juan Ignacio Luca de Tena, Fortunata by Benito Pérez Galdós, Zapatera prodigiosa by Federico García Lorca and Medea by Miguel de Unamuno, among others. In addition, she continued to be active as a film actress. in 1962 she won the gold medal of the Circulo de Bellas Artes. In 1992 she sang with Rocío Jurado and Juana Reina in the Copla andaluza musical Azabache. in 2006 she received the Premio Mayte de Teatro, the following year the gold medal of the Spanish Ministry of Culture and the Premio Nacional de Teatro Pepe Isbert.
