"Nacho Moze's new album is a visceral statement, an exciting journey that sinks its roots into the depth of ritual. Like everything he does, Moze approaches this work with an intensity that defines and distinguishes him.

Through a typical jazz formation, Nacho weaves a sound tour that connects candombe, vidala, milonga and other rhythms that converse with the history and identity of our region, traditions that are presented in this work crossed by the echoes of his childhood in the neighborhood.

In this work, Nacho evokes the memory of Argentine traditions and the indelible imprint of enslaved African cultures, brought to America and sold in parks and city squares. Amidst the grief of thousands of souls, Carnival remained a tradition of the displaced as a space of resistance, communion and catharsis, where music and dance transformed pain into collective strength.
