    On every trip there is a moment when you stop, look around and listen to what is going on inside you. There are no rules for these moments. They come and go without our control. One of these moments happened for Israeli-born mezzo-soprano Na'ama Goldman after she decided to take root in Berlin. As an opera singer, she was constantly traveling all over the world, so why Berlin of all places? The city from which your family had been deported? She found answers in music. Mahler, Korngold and Weill inspired her to see her life with different eyes. The music of Engel carried with it the sounds of distant memories. Argov and Bat opened new prospects for her on her native land. The discovery of the song Elei Tashuv by Sonnenschein, dedicated to her grandmother, connected her with her origin. The Kaddish of Ravel reminded her of the power of a woman by singing this prayer, which is traditionally reserved only for men. Compiled on a CD album, the songs combine with each other. Their music captures a moment on a journey through a variety of forms of expression. The songs speak of their own heritage, their own legacy.

    The Israeli-born Na'ama Goldman is praised as an outstanding and brilliant singer with a captivating stage presence and regularly interprets a large selection of leading roles on international stages. In 2012, she received great acclaim from the audience and critics when she stepped in at the last minute for the title role in Carmen at the Masada Opera Festival of the Israeli Opera, while she was still a member of the Meitar Opera Studio.
