On "TRACES" Michael Patrick Kelly deals with the topic of humanity and how different experiences in life shape people and leave their mark. For the album, the artist, who also produces his albums himself, worked together with Grammy Award producer Michael Ilbert, among others. The recordings took place at the legendary Air Studio in London and at Hansa Studios Berlin.

Michael Patrick Kelly: "It is important to me to make real 'handmade music' that comes from the heart and not from AI tools. That's why we recorded the recordings with world-class musicians on tape as before. The new songs are based on true stories that inspire courage. Each album is a new chapter for me, within which I am allowed to grow as a musician and a person. I am pleased that the TRACES Era is starting now, and that after ten successful years, the cooperation with my label Sony is also going to be extended.“

For his last albums ("Human" 2015, "iD", 2017, "B.O.A.T.S", 2021), the Irish-American singer-songwriter was honored with platinum and gold in Germany and various European countries. "B.O.A.T.S" has been streamed over 400 million times in total and delivered five top 5 radio hits in a row.

In addition to his musical work, Michael Patrick Kelly has been involved in numerous humanitarian projects for over 25 years and was appointed Ambassador for Peace and Justice (SDG #16) of the United Nations in Germany by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Development (BMZ) in 2024.
