Marc Anthony - OPUS (2019) [Official Digital Download]

Latin superstar Marc Anthony took to social media on Tuesday, 30 April 2019 to announce the release of his upcoming album Opus, also revealing the album’s cover art.

The highly anticipated album is scheduled for release on Friday, 10 May 2019, and was teased in a series of images posted on the singer’s Instagram account, up until the official reveal. In the announcement post shared on Tuesday, 30 April 2019 the singer stated, “I have some big news to share with you today! My new album, #Opus, comes out on May 10th and starting today you can pre-save it on your favourite digital platform. It was an amazing experience recording this album and I can’t wait for you to finally listen to it.”

Along with his caption, Anthony shared the sultry cover art for the album. The singer is seen against a grey wall in the image, giving a seductive look to the camera whilst holding on to his necklaces. The album serves as his first studio album in six years, and his eighth salsa album, following Otra Nota which was released in 1993. According to Anthony’s official website, the title Opus was chosen earlier on in the production process as it emphasized its role as a solid masterwork within his massive, much-praised discography.
