    Wer mag sie nicht, die Ciaccona, Ciacona oder Chaconne – diesen unwiderstehlichen Tanz, in dem die Oberstimmen scheinbar in Improvisationen und Imitationen über einem Bass-Schema musizieren? Wahrscheinlich über Spanien aus Südamerika kommend trat die Ciaccona schnell ihren Siegeszug durch ganz Europa an. Leila Schayegh und ihre Musikerfreunde von La Centifolia spielen hier einen bunten Reigen von Chaconnen – teils berühmt, teils unbekannt – von Bertali, Purcell, Schmelzer, Matteis, Corelli und anonymen Komponisten der berühmten Sammlung aus dem »Schrank No. 2« in Dresden.
