It was celebrated as Germany's most renowned rock band. She received the German Record Award. She had several top 1 hits. They stole the show from Wishbone Ash. 35 years ago, they sold out halls in this country. Also in the USA they celebrated as one of the few German rock bands at big festivals and concerts with Bob Dylan, Genesis, Eric Clapton and Santana. LAKE-the name sounds like a legend around which it had become silent for two decades. Since 2003 LAKE gives concerts again.

Alex Conti truly has a top troupe together: Alex Conti (LAKE, Atlantis, Hamburg Blues Band) - guitar and vocals; Ian Cussick (Scotland) - lead vocals & percussion; Jens Skwirblies (Deno, Ian Cussick, Bobby Kimball) - keyboards & backing vocals; Mickie Stickdorn (Jennifer Rush, Heinz R. Kunze, Elephant) - drums & backing vocals and Holger Trull (Joachim Witt, Rosebud, Cocker Cover Crew) - bass & backing vocals.

Then as now, what critics of this band attest is true: perfect sound, like compared to Steely Dan, impressive technical quality and a brilliant live sound. Music between blues, pop, rock and a pinch of jazz. Wonderful songs, catchy riffs, booming Hammond sound, vocal choir power, a precise rhythm track and of course the unmistakable guitar of Alex Conti.

LAKE is one of the best acts that Germany has to offer in rock music.
