Karine Deshayes and Delphine Haidan formed the duo "Deux mezzos sans rien" a fortnight ago, during a public concert for a radio show. The success was immediate, two common tessitura, mezzo-soprano and yet two different colors that marry according to the duets.

Their repertoire focuses mainly on the nineteenth. It combines opera, melody and lied. For this record they have voluntarily preferred these last two forms, in their original writing: duets with equal female voices and piano. Reflecting the concerts they give throughout France, as well as abroad, they have chosen to bring to the record a program that is dear to them : Mendelssohn and Brahms for German Romanticism, Berlioz, Gounod, Saint-Saëns, Massenet, Fauré and Chausson for the French repertoire of the same nineteenth century. Works that require musicality, diction, meaning of the text and mutual listening.
For this record Karine Deshayes and Delphine Haidan are accompanied by Johan Farjot who is their privileged pianist.
