Jean-Paul Gasparian is one of the most promising young pianists. There is a consensus on this not only in music criticism. The audience is also regularly enchanted by the poetic intensity of his playing in combination with his light-footed perfection. The young Frenchman, who was awarded numerous prizes after his studies at the Paris National Conservatoire, comes to the castle courtyard with a program that exemplifies the breadth of his skills. The floating, shimmering sounds of Claude Debussy's groundbreaking Préludes require a high degree of delicacy of sound and at the same time creative finesse. The monumental piano sonata in F minor op. 5 by Johannes Brahms complements the musical panorama with the highest passion and a wide range of feelings. The five movements of the sonata are full of emotion and of overwhelming sonority. The compositional density of this exceptional work is also enormous: the musical complexity and the richness of relationships are in no way inferior to the expressiveness.
