    I&K performs The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky, the same version that Stravinsky premiered with his friend Debussy in a private recital for a group of friends before writing the orchestral version. The repertoire of the album is magnificently surrounded by pieces of Debussy, Saint- Saëns, and Ravel, who enjoyed the première of that incredible piece at the newly constructed Theâtre des Champs-Elysees on 29th May 1913. This date would go down in history as one of the greatest musical scandals of all time. Saint-Saëns left the hall outraged, Debussy asked the most reluctant to listen to the music, and Ravel exclaimed: Genius, genius!".
