BluNew remaster! "I spent HARD ROAD BLUES in 2 nights (6th-7th Oct.1994) recorded analog and one-shot at the OPUS Recorder Music Studio in Austria. It was quite a meditative affair, which was very well recorded by sound engineer Andreas Fabianek. We used a vocal microphone, a guitar microphone and some other microphones to capture the natural space. The recording sounds very organic; you can feel every movement and breathing and you can literally hear the fingers dancing on the fretboard.
The record was first released in 1994 on vinyl, CD and music cassette. HARD ROAD BLUES has been highly praised by fans and press and has sold very well. If at all a copy of this pressing appears in good condition, you currently have to spend quite a lot of money on it.
Unfortunately, the devil of fire has now struck at the German pressing plant – many masters and dies have been destroyed, including those of HARD ROAD BLUES. A pressing was thus impossible. But during Corona 2020 I had a lot of time to sift through my holdings of recordings and I also found the HARD ROAD BLUES master tapes.
