Gautier Capuçon - Capucelli (2024) [Official Digital Download 24/96]

Continuing his dedication to his Classe d’Excellence de Violoncelle, which he has directed for seven years at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Gautier Capuçon is joining forces with six past laureates, all classes combined, to form a unique cello ensemble named “Capucelli.” Recorded for release in the fall of 2022 on the Warner Classics label, the “Capucelli” ensemble’s programme will be featured on an international tour to begin after this concert.

They will present a set of works for seven cellos – arrangements and transcriptions by Piazzolla, Tchaikovsky, Bartók, Dvořák, Bizet –, as well as creations and commissions from the Fondation to renowned composers such as Bryce Dessner, Guillaume Connesson and Bruno Mantovani, who will join the ensemble at this performance to conduct his composition.
