This concert evening takes you through the fictional Hotel Babylon, where the doors open to a world of music from films such as The Great Gatsby, Babylon, Burlesque, the television series House of Dreams and Babylon Berlin as well as the operas Porgy and Bess and Mahagonny - and much more. With a visit from Babylon Berlin's Moka Efti Orchestra, led by singer Severija, you will be whisked away to Berlin's exuberant and decadent underworld, while the hotel's violinist, Christina Åstrand, will transport you to the sublime and extraordinary upper class in the hotel's foyer. The divas with their magnificent diamonds are ready for a daring, ecstatic and sweet burlesque party in the den of sin - filled to the brim with tango jealousy and French coquetry. With music by George Gershwin, Astor Piazzolla, Beyoncé, Bryan Ferry, Edith Piaf, Andrew Sisters, Moka Efti Orchestra, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Stravinsky, Kurt Weill. As an extra on the Blu-ray Disc, atmospheric animations (The Story of Babylon Hotel) transport the viewer to the burlesque Berlin of the 1920s and 1930s and tell the story of love in the fictional Hotel Babylon.
