Chants de l'Aube et du Soir is a lyrical duo drawing inspiration from the genre of French melody. Despite the singular identity of the composer Cyril Achard, the inspiration of the masters is clearly perceptible through the gliding shadow of Fauré, Ravel and other Poulenc, to name but the most influential. The relationship and the search for balance between poetry and music remains a primary concern here. The exigency and care accorded to the choice of the author are all signs of this deep will. Fabrice Hadjadj is a leading writer and poet. If the weight of tradition is present - melodies passionately marrying the contours of the text, the voice-instrument couple does not relegate the accompanist to the second role - the personal journey of the two actors cannot be dissociated from more modern and jazz influences. It is therefore natural that the musical discourse is enriched in them with more free and improvised sections.

The characteristic modernity of the duo reflects the artistic journey of the two musicians. Opera, contemporary repertoire, song and jazz for soprano Melody Louledjian. As for the composer, his publications led him to be interested in ancient music, these musical researches are not alien to the use of particular colors whose pieces are imprinted. From a sound point of view, the form tends towards extreme stripping : a voice, an acoustic guitar.

These nine "mortal songs" celebrate the beauty and miracle of what is born before dying out, in the image of life, happiness, hope or lost love. Thus, through these snapshots of musical poetry, the wide register of human feelings is expressed : such real testimonies recalling the extreme fragility of the world around us.
