Charlotte is a self-titled second EP by Charlotte Lawrence telling the story and emotions she’s gone through over the past three years of her working on the project.

On January 22, 2021, Charlotte officially announced her EP, Charlotte and release date on Instagram. It included a visualization with different color lights on her which represents the emotions she attached to the song. “Talk You Down” is green, “You” is pink, “Sin x Secret” is purple, “Slow Motion” is blue, “Cowboys” is red, and “Rx” is yellow.

In an interview for Charlotte’s Notion 88 cover, when talking about her EP, Charlotte shared,

90% of it is about a relationship [with] some fun songs… some slow songs. There are like three songs on it that I’ve been holding for so long that I haven’t released but I’ve played live and that I just love more than anything.
