Edmonton, my hometown and the place that Captain Tractor was formed in, is what's East of Edson, in case you were wondering what the album cover is about. Yes, Edmonton does have land, showers, walkways, and hookups.
This album is fun, energetic, and sometimes cheesy. It's not as cheesy as their first album though. Think varying degrees of Weird Al Yankovic mixed with talented Celtic Rock musicians. In other words, the band doesn't take itself too serious. The cover of The Clash's "London Calling" is actually quite good. "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate", "Up the Hill" and "Drunken Sailor" are other highlights.
I'm not sure why people praise their follow up to this album, Bought the Farm, so much. Sure the band sounds a little tighter, but the essence of the band was lost.
