I enjoy this collection a bit more than the first hits collection. He was definitely growing into the best singer around.

Review by William Ruhlmann
It had been only two years since Tony Bennett's first hits collection when Columbia released this, his second. In that time, he hadn't scored many hits. In fact, he'd had only three chart entries: "Firefly" (#20, 1958), "Smile" (#73, 1959), and "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" (#74, 1960). So, the album's title was a misnomer, but it signalled that here was a collection of Bennett performances of either contemporary songs or older songs in contemporary arrangements, intended for the hit parade even if they didn't get there. There is a light, optimistic tone to much of the material–"Smile," "Put On A Happy Face," "You'll Never Get Away From Me"–and although much is also slight, Bennett brings his trademark warmth to the settings.
Couldn't get a good shot of the back of the cover for some reason. I tried drinking two more cocktails as an experiment to see if that would help, but it didn't, though I did feel better about not getting the shot :-) So I guess it met with mixed success.
