Jeffrey Siegel, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (Leonard Slatkin) - Gershwin Orchestral Music Vol. 3 (1975) 24-bit/96kHz

This recording is exemplary in production values, natural ambience, nuance, and verve. The producer deserves a grammy! Extremely natural sounding without any loss of treble detail, yet without the harshness of early digital. More fire than Previn, but with a sense of good sense and graciousness. A great American orchestra, playing great American music. And fantastic sound too! Listen on a good highly resolving system and be amazed at this overlooked gem. It should be on an audiophiles list of demo-discs. Sam Wilde, Amazon.com
