    To anticipate it immediately: Roods are not possibly a victim of an unsuccessful orthography more known "roots", but the English name for Tuchellen which were used in England before the industrial revolution by weavers and tailors for measuring of materials and tapes. Reeds (web combs) are also even today a central component of looms again. Behind the pseudonym Roods & Reeds are hidden the inhabitant of Hamburg Dagmar Lauschke and her partner Leonard Poppe, (both songs and guitar) which have made a mistake since 2016 of the common interpretation of demanding folk sounds of Anglo-Irish origin. Suitably to his tape name the Hamburg duet has entitled to his debut album "The Loom Goes Click" and refers with it not only to the rhythm of a clattering loom, but, besides, to the harmoniously grooving and ingeniously intertwined guitar melodies and voices which are tuned tonally magnificently on each other. Besides, the rhythmically stressed numbers harmonise on this album in perfect manner with the beguiling, melancholy infected ballads.
