A veteran of NYC's roots and jazz scene, Tamar Korn joins musical partner Kyle Morgan on their debut album as a duo, Darkening Green. The two deliver wonderful complementary, front-porch harmonies on timeless songs from the repertoires of the Carter Family, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Leonard Cohen, and The Everly Brothers in addition to several originals. The New York Times has called Korn's singing "smartly mewling" while the Wall Street Journal termed her singing "sublime… transcendent." Of Morgan, Bandcamp Daily said, "Morgan's acoustic folk songs are universally appealing." Under the Radar said, "Morgan is grounded in the tradition of acoustic singer/songwriters, but shows a penchant for particularly strong writing." Together, Korn and Morgan draw you into a warm, familiar space, rich in tradition, ringing with acoustic guitars and resplendent harmonies.
