Sonic Boom is the nineteenth studio album and the first in 11 years from KISS, released on October 6, 2009. The album was recorded at Conway Recording Studios in Hollywood, CA and produced by the band's co-leader Paul Stanley and co-produced by Greg Collins. The line up is Paul Stanely, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer, & Eric Singer, this is their first studio recording with these members. The cover artwork was created by artist Michael Doret who has worked with KISS previously to create the cover of their 1976 album "Rock and Roll Over". The album was released on limited edition 180 gram vinyl and was pressed into five colors (red, green, black, blue and purple) with 1000 copies pressed of each. The vinyl pressing was only available as an online exclusive through KISS' official website. Sold out in pre-order, it has become difficult to find one copy, let alone all five colors. I have included full scans from all five colored vinyl pressings. To celebrate the completion of the KISS discography, I have also included full scans from the 1998 Japanese colored vinyl box set "The Originals 1974-1979"
