Psycho Circus is the eighteenth studio album by KISS. The album features the original four members back together, and in full make-up. The track "You Wanted the Best" is the only KISS song in which lead vocals are shared by the entire lineup. The only vinyl pressing of "Psycho Circus" is this UK promo picture disc. Note that the "SS" in their logo is the censored "ZZ" version. On the heels of the wildly successful “Alive/Worldwide 1996-7” reunion tour KISS faced a new challenge by deciding to enter the studio and record a “reunion” album. The band members had not worked together in the studio since the recording of “Dynasty” in 1979, regardless of how “together” those sessions really were. Essentially, the last time the band had properly worked together in a studio, as a band, would have been during the recording of the “Love Gun” album in 1977. Simply, while Peter Criss had been absent from much of the recording of “Dynasty,” the other members were playing musical-chairs with their basic instruments. I have included scans of both sides.
