Considered one of the most talented musicians of his time, distinguished himself in church and theatre alike, Henry Purcell (1659-1695) began his career as a keyboard musician. In this recording, Jean-Luc Ho evokes different facets of the composer's activity and his European influences, alternating original pieces with transcriptions rooted in the practice of 17thcentury harpsichordists and organists.
