    Håvard Svendsrud, from Sysle på Modum, is known as one of Scandinavia's most active accordion players. He has been a professional freelance musician for 25 years, and is known from a wide range of music projects, both as a soloist and in various collaborations.

    Håvard Svendsrud has previously released two classical records, which have reached an international audience. In autumn 2023, Svendsrud will launch his third CD with classical music. The content of the disc is baroque music written by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), hence the title "Selected Works by Johann Sebastian Bach". The album was recorded in the spring of 2023 in Maridalen Church in Oslo, with Geir Inge Lotsberg as producer. The album is released on Svendsrud's own label Aksent, and will be available both as a physical CD and on all streaming services.

    The new record release will be marked in Svendsrud's home municipality of Modum, with a record release at Midt-Buskerud library, Modum department in Vikersund, on Saturday 16 September at 1 p.m. There will be a mini-concert with excerpts from the album, and there will also be simple catering and sales and signing of the new record. The event has free entry.
