Plangliedli, Lanzigliedli, Herbstliedli, Heiwehliedli: dialect texts and cozy sounds in the art song? This is more than a beautiful dream. The singer Sybille Diethelm and the pianist Fabienne Romer present precious, imaginative, poetic and humorous settings of poems by the dialect poet Meinrad Lienert (1865-1933). And with him it's a bit like with Mozart: you like his poems if you only hear them once without knowing exactly why. And if you deal with them more extensively, it can happen that you almost "git" with joy because they are so charming and eloquent and so full of fine details.

Or as Carl Spitteler, the only Swiss Nobel Prize winner for literature to date, puts it: “It is hardly possible to overestimate this poetry, and it is difficult to deal with it with sober words. At least my little criticism runs away from this poetry. I rejoice, I rejoice when I think of the poet Lienert. An overflowing mood of happiness, like walking across an alpine pasture."

The ten composers - from Volkmar Andreae to Friedrich Niggli and Walter Schulthess - show themselves from their best side and underline and complement Lienert's linguistic images with the most lively musical colors. A pleasurable search for traces of your own cultural identity.
