When Elvin Bishop left the Butterfield Blues Band in 1968 and moved to California, he added the one ingredient missing from San Francisco's bubbling musical cauldron - nasty, down-home, electrified blues. The Elvin Bishop Group's self-titled debut from 1969, their 1970 sophomore effort Feel It! and their third longplayer, 1972's Rock My Soul, are just what Doctor Feelgood ordered from the guitar whiz who'd cut his teeth jamming with Chicago legends Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and Little Walter. Includes two live bonus tracks from the album Last Days Of The Fillmore, 'So Fine' & 'Party Till The Cows Come Home'. Sundazed. 2002.
