Café Jacques played a smart, jazz-tinged pop with a touch of progressive rock that went all over the musical map. Some UK prog players of the era helped out, including Phil Collins. Unfortunately they came along just as Punk/New Wave was redefining the musical landscape and after a second LP, released in 1978, called it a day.
