Why ‘Another Seven Symphonies’? Was it because WedgeView Music had previously released the album ‘The Seven Symphonies’, a classical tribute to Beach Boys music, or was it because so many others have made an attempt to cover Beatles music with a symphonic orchestra?

Well, both are actually true. After the release of ‘The Seven Symphonies’ in 2022, the label decided to have a go at Beatles music with the same view and principles - albeit there are huge differences between Beatles and Beach Boys music.

It has taken WedgeView Music two years to complete this album, using 39 different Beatles songs divided over seven symphonies. Obviously, the challenges were very different from the start. Apart from the differences in musical style between the two bands, Beatles songs are generally more well known, so ther eare less, if no, hidden treasures. What remained unchanged is that they took the symphonic potential of the song as basis and not its position in the charts.

WedgeView Music are not the first ones trying to coverThe Beatles’ music with a symphonic orchestra and they won’t be the last either. Where they distinguish themselves is that they stuck to a full symphonic orchestra without the use of any rhythm section, nor any vocal assistance. They are not covering songs but creating symphonies to do justice to the unforgettable tunes the band created on so many albums in such a short time, thereby preserving the music in a different fashion for generations ahead.
