The first Erdenklang compilation, nos. II and III were to follow. Except for the tracks by JADE WARRIOR and KRISTIAN SCHULTZE, all the recordings are first releases and were produced exclusively for this album. The titles have been selected and coupled in such a way that they impart to the listener a uniform mood. Various musicians are performing here with different techniques and styles, and yet the listening sensation results in a complex whole. It may well be that clever marketing people created a new trend with the new term "New Age", that producers produced it to death, and that the media have had more than enough of it due to overfeeding. The fact remains that artists and consumers were aware, and still are, of the pleasure of uniting in harmony – through the medium of music – body, spirit and soul with each other, and with the universal cosmic waves affecting them. In our "Magic Age", however, this is apparently becoming a political and social necessity.
