About the Recording
LAURINDO ALMEIDA, RAY BROWN, SHELLY MANNE, BUD SHANK The L.A. Four (Original 1976 US white Concord Jazz label 6-track heavyweight vinyl LP, a cracking album from this fusion supergroup produced by Carl E. Jefferson for his Concord Jazz label. Ends on a high with a fantastic version of Rodrigo's Concierto De Aranjuez. Pasted picture sleeve with album notes from columnist Gordon Raddue, both sleeve and vinyl near mint! CJ-18).
This LP was a bit noisy and inspite of my few attemps to clean it still exibited some minor cracklings and pops, but the music overweights all the shortcomings of this particular record copy. So if you only after quality this one may not be for you.
